We are a competitive Flyball team committed to running our dogs at sanctioned tournaments and training them
as required for the ultimate aim of enjoyment of the sport by both dogs and members of the team.

UPDATE ON OUR CURRENT STATUS SINCE THE FIRE

Ready Set Go wants to send out a huge thank you with even more gratitude to everyone who has supported us either financially, emotionally or any other way! This “adventure” has been devastating as well as a complete shock to all of the clubs who practiced at the arena and the community itself. 
 
It has taken some time since the initial fire for first the investigation (person responsible has been arrested and is still in jain with no bail granted), then the bidding for the demolition, inspections for gas, power, etc and then finally the actual demolition to take place. 
 
We were given notice we could access our area to survey the damage and attempt to salvage some of our gear. By this point some had been stolen and damaged by the weather but we were able to save several items. I’ll provide a list below of the amazing things we were able to save. We had hoped there would be more we could save but due to some “miscommunication” between the Fairboard and the demo crew, the items we had waited to thaw were further destroyed and deemed useless by the final demolition of the area.
 
On a brighter note, as you all know, we have decided to move ahead, Rise From The Ashes, and host our annual flyball tournament in Norwood, ON., another grand location very much comparable to our home in Napanee. We hope to bring with it, our usual enthusiasm, enjoyment, competition and rewards that we always put forward at all of our tournaments! It will be June 15/16, 2024 and we have some fabulous sponsors helping us once again this year, in particular Ren’s Pet Depot - Peterborough, Napanee and Belleville locations are hoping to be a large part of the event. 
 
At this point this is what we were able to salvage from the ashes, some odd things and some wonderful ones. Some items are a bit damaged and unfortunately the few mats we were able to save, we won’t know how well they faired with smoke damage until we can get them out and cleaned in warmer temperatures. 
 
The flyball community is an amazing space and the support we have given each other for various causes throughout the years is amazing. Plus we mustn’t forget friends and families. Thank you again! We will rise from the ashes!!.
