Our main goal is having fun with family, friends, and most importantly, our canine companions. Some of our
human members have started out in this sport at the very early ages! As for the canine group, some have
started learning at the age of 8 weeks and others have started their training at 8 years old! As a club, we
love to compete and win, but first and foremost, our goal is to stay family oriented and keep the FUN in flyball.
So get that ball out, practice, practice, practice and we will meet you at the tournaments!
Meet our current members and members in training below!

Summer 2007 at 3.5 yr old
Favourite Pastime:
Catching water drops that she creates as she splashes or swim, talking to big rocks in the forest (!), and climbing trees ... for no reason at all.
Dog’s best time:
4.1
Bïa is a very creative Border Collie that will play with whoever wants to handle her, and does a great job at "training" new Flyball handlers. She started training in Flyball in June 2007 got her fist title 32 days later. Bïa is the living proof that overly sensitive young dogs that shut down easily can turn out to be outstanding, outgoing, trusting, driven and reliable companions...if their human finally "sees the light" and is willing to put their pride aside, forget about what they'd been doing with dogs for 15 years, and learn to read the dog, and create alternative ways to work efficiently with them. Bïa loves canine sports: dog sledding, skijorring, tracking, freestyle, dockjumping, herding and agility. But her favorite activity is truly to splash endlessly (hours) in the water, may it be a puddle, or a Great Lake!

ANDY (AKA ANDYMAN)
Owner’s name:
Connie Moede
Started Flyball:
2010
Favourite Pastime:
Chewing the fingers out of gloves
Dog’s best time:
His very first run was a 5.5 sec but hopefully better times in his future!
Andy is "one of a kind" Border Collie who just turned one the first of May 2011. His Dad is Buster and that says a lot about Andy. He is much more enthusiastic about Flyball than his Father. Andy is a bit of a "Social Butterfly" which has a big bearing on his ability to run straight down the Flyball lane.
With a few more runs and corrections under his belt, we are all hoping he will live up to, or surpass, the standards set by his Uncles Win and Teddy. |

OPIE
Owner’s name:
Christopher Delage
Started Flyball:
2010
Favourite Pastime:
If you want to make a new friend, just pick up a stick and chuck it, but he’ll probably have one at your feet before you find one!
Dog’s best time:
TBA
Opie is a 3 year old mix Border Collie cross with Lab and perhaps Spaniel. He was a rescue from the Sault Sainte Marie and was unwanted from two homes. He has the drive and desire of a Border Collie and the retrieval instincts of a Lab. He was unwanted from one home due to his desire to chase and herd 4 house cats, which the owner thought he would kill. To this day, Opie lives with a cat Jaax and they chase, play and go on walks together …… yes, walks!!!
Opie did however, have more serious behavioral problems then his herding drive; he tended to be aggressive towards men and most dogs and very territorial to his surroundings. This has been a trying experience, but one that has been well worth the effort in the end. Opie is now comfortable with himself and most others, including most dogs; as he does tend to revert occasionally but good training and his drive to play has help me and Opie cope.
Opie can recycle, close the door, get slippers, dance, and spin; shake a paw, high five and many more neat tricks that he picks up in seconds. |

Molly
Owner’s name:
Kyra Glabb and Greg Allan
Started Flyball:
October, 2011
Favourite Pastime:
chasing leaves, chewing her toys, swimming and car rides
Dog’s best time:
TBA
Molly is half schnauzer and half poodle, AKA a Schnoodle and was born on June 12, 2009. She is genuinely a very happy, loyal dog and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She loves everyone she meets, be it a person, her feline brother & sister (the cats don't return the love) or just another dog. Molly has always been eager to please, a fast learner and just plain fast. With her unique "schnoodle" run (bum and tail tuck in and almost running faster than the front end), she loves to outrun her greyhound friend, Everitt, when she has the chance over the summer. Either she is trying to show up the retired racing greyhound or she is trying to stay one step ahead since she looks like the mechanical bunny at the race track.
We are making good progress at home with training and we're both looking forward to getting out for more practices and building her confidence. |
